MV 4 cylinder 500cc

The 1974 MV Agusta 500 four-cylinder marked the end of MV’s Grand Prix dominance, securing the title with Phil Read.

A 496cc DOHC inline four produced close to 100 bhp at high revs, within a lightweight tubular chassis. Highly refined and capable of over 180 mph, it combined precision engineering with peak four-stroke development, closing MV’s championship-winning era as two-strokes began to take over.
