NSU Max
The NSU Max, introduced in the mid-1950s, was a 250cc single-cylinder road bike known for its advanced overhead camshaft design.
Using a unique eccentric-driven OHC system, it produced around 18 bhp with smooth, efficient performance. The pressed steel frame and conventional suspension prioritised stability and everyday usability.
Well regarded in the UK and Europe, it combined innovative engineering with reliability, making it a notable post-war lightweight.
